About INTERSECT 2026
INTERSECT 2026 is the flagship national-level technical symposium organised by CSIR – Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CSIR-CECRI) and the Electrochemical Technologists Association (ETA). Bringing together bright minds from across India, the event focuses on the theme ‘4M – Materials for Mobility, Manufacturing & Mother Earth,’ featuring workshops, paper and poster presentations, technical battles, quizzes, and cultural events over two immersive days at CSIR-CECRI, Karaikudi.

How to Reach CSIR-CECRI
By Air
The nearest airports are Madurai (IXM) (~85 km) and Tiruchirappalli (TRZ) (~95 km). Taxis and buses are readily available from both airports to reach Karaikudi.
By Train
Karaikudi Junction (KKDI) is well-connected by express trains from major cities like Chennai, Coimbatore, and Bengaluru. The campus is a short auto-ride from the station.
By Road
Karaikudi is situated on the National Highway (NH 336/210). State transport buses (TNSTC) and private coaches operate frequently from Trichy, Madurai, and Tanjore.
